We are asking that all of our partners would be in prayer for our launch. At this time we are in discussion with several venues that are viable options for The Sound’s location. Prayerfully exciting updates to come!

November 13, 2009

This Sunday, November 15, we will begin meeting on Sunday mornings at 10:30am. We will meet in the Weads’ home for a time of worship and the Word. This is not our official launch, but will be a time to hear God’s Word taught, worship together, and hang out. Childcare will be available.

There will be no more Thursday night meetings.

The Weads will be out of town at a conference this Thursday (October 22). We will be gathering for The Sound’s launch team meeting at Phipps’s home at 7 p.m. I hope you can all make it!

If you are using a GPS we are 6000 Germantown Road, Midland.

The following are directions from Battlefield High School to our home:

1. Head south 16 ft
2. Take the 1st right toward James Madison Hwy/US-15 S 0.2 mi
3. Take the 1st left onto James Madison Hwy/US-15 S 4.9 mi
4. Turn right at Lee Hwy/US-15 S/US-29 S 7.3 mi
5. Continue straight onto Eastern Bypass 1.2 mi
6. Take the County Road 643 exit toward Warrenton 0.2 mi
7. Turn left at Co Road 643/E Lee St/Meetze Rd
Continue to follow Co Road 643/Meetze Rd 6.1 mi
8. Turn right at Balls Mill Rd/Co Road 663 2.1 mi
9. Turn left at Co Road 649/Germantown Rd

Our house is the first house on the right….Take first right on private road…we’ll tie a balloon on our mailbox:>)

I am excited about what God is doing. We have been making many steps toward the launch of our new church The Sound. There continues to be great interest and many inquiries. All that goes into laying the foundation of a new church is almost overwhelming, but God is helping us in so many ways.

Update:
-Initiated a weekly meeting for those committed to helping The Sound launch (launch team)
-501c3 status is complete along with articles of incorporation
-Bylaws have been submitted and approved
-Bank account established and non-for-profit tax ID number secured
-Website being developed at http://www.thesoundchurch.org
-Local and national pastoral oversight board established
-Discipleship and ministry model defined and being shared at ongoing launch meetings

We are looking for people with ALL levels of experience in life to add to our growing launch team! On Friday, October 30, we are having what we are calling a Launch Party. This will be an informal time in which you will have an opportunity to hear and ask questions about the launch of The Sound Church. One of our pastors wants to meet you and hear your unique story!
