Every person is created to worship God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and delight in Him. We become like what we worship. God wants us to be transformed into His image and likeness.
There is a God given purpose and destiny for your life. The Bible teaches in Corinthians that it is through being connected to His body, the church, that people are connected to the life of God, equipped and grow into who God made them to be; fulfilling their God given purpose and destiny.
The church is God's instrument for reaching the world. We are fulfilling the great commission that Jesus gave us in Matthew 28 to go into all the world and make disicples.
Our mission is fulfilled in the context of community. Acts 2:42 says,
"All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
